Pattern May-hem

Glad I got my rain the past weekend, because today's outbreak ain't doin jack squat in my backyard
 
Tornado warning now for Surry, Stokes counties NC (same call as earlier) until 5:15 PM. Areas include King, Mt Airy, Pinnacle, Pilot Mountain. Tornado confirmed on the ground just NE of East Bend by sheriff deputy moving NE at 40-50mph
 
1.25" of rain here today and more falling. Almost 3" since yesterday. This has quickly turned into quite a wet month!
 
Greg Fishel just said the environment is actually better for tornadoes as the storms move more north.
 
Major hit on Yadkinville. Elementary school gym destroyed, cars blown off roads, and reports of people trapped.

2.27" unofficially from the Airport today (if my math is not correct and with these damn -- oops, dadgum shoulder pain pills, I'll stand corrected) ... every drop of whatever is and has been good!

Fishel just said with the dew points so high that we didn't need the sun today to provide the spark to get things going.

Hoping to hell trapped is the worse; why are folks so hyped about weather out of nowhere that maims and kills people, anyhow?

Yeah there is definitely some concerning news coming out of that area and things are starting to really ramp up in our neck of the woods.

Sounds like the radar isn't that impressive with the warnings around here.
 
Looks like an ugly one forming to my south moving north.

Yes sir those look interesting as well as quite a number of small but discrete cells are popping I think at any time any of those could have rotation.
