Winter 2023-24 Grade

Today is the last day of meteorological winter, so I'd like to see what grade everyone gives this winter.

C- for the Western portions of the southeast. It really wasn't all that warm until February, And we did see some sleet and freezing rain.

But even that storm was way bigger on the models the entire week leading up. It just fell flat to me for that reason and then I assumed we would get a better storm and it never happened

Even up here in Maine it was an F for the winter. Last year this time there was 5 inches of snow on the ground still at the coast and even more up north. This year, nadda at the coast and very little up north. I'm hoping next year will be better for all of us!!

B because we had the 7 days of snow/sleet on the ground which is pretty uncommon for my area and the temps almost dipped below zero. We did manage to stay fairly cool then cold for that week but when the warmth started after the snow melt it was over.

D for Blacksburg because we somehow how tripled our snow total from last winter. Tripled in this case means nothing however. 1.3 last winter, 3.5 this winter. Not so great when you average two feet.
